Georgia Angus returns to Morris from London

Georgia Angus has returned to Morris as a senior associate.

Georgia joined Morris as a senior solicitor in 2016 before being promoted to senior associate in 2018. In 2019, Georgia relocated to London, where she was an associate in the London private client team at top-tier US firm McDermott Will & Emery. In that role, she worked on high-profile contentious trust matters in the Court of Appeal of England and Wales and numerous offshore jurisdictions including The Bahamas, Bermuda, the BVI and Jersey.

Georgia advises on all aspects of complex trust, estate and relationship property matters. She has appeared in the New Zealand District Court, Family Court, High Court and Court of Appeal and represented clients at mediations. Georgia has been published in the New Zealand Law Journal and the STEP Trust Quarterly Review on the role of charities in estate disputes and seeking information from trustees under data protection legislation.

Georgia is a full member of STEP (TEP) and completed both the STEP Advanced Diploma in Trusts and Estates and Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes with distinction.
